The DW17 series universal circuit breaker is suitable for use in distribution networks with an AC frequency of 50Hz, a rated voltage up to 690V, and a rated current up to 4000A. It is used to distribute electrical energy and protect lines and power equipment (such as generators, motors, rectifier devices, etc.) from hazards such as overload, short circuit, and undervoltage faults. It can also directly start motors and has a selective protection function. Under normal conditions, it can be used for infrequent starting of lines and motors.

Main structure and characteristics

The DW17 series is a maintainable universal circuit breaker, featuring a three-dimensional layout, compact structure, and high universality of components. The installation methods include fixed and drawer types. The product is mainly composed of a frame, contact system, operating mechanism, arc-extinguishing system, and various independently installed trip units. The operating mechanism offers five modes: stopping, direct manual operation from the side, manual quick operation, electric quick operation, and operation with energy storage and release by electric motor. Due to the use of arc contacts in the contact system, which make contact first and break later, the arcing energy during circuit breaker breaking can be effectively guided into the arc-extinguishing chamber, thereby improving the arc-extinguishing performance of the product.
