The DW15 series universal circuit breaker is primarily used in distribution networks operating at 50Hz, with rated voltages up to 400V (380V) and rated currents up to 4000A. It is designed to distribute electrical energy and provide protection against overload, short circuit, and undervoltage conditions in lines and power equipment. Under normal conditions, it can also be used for infrequent line switching. With the addition of a shunt trip and electric operating mechanism, it can also be remotely operated.

Main structure and characteristics

The DW15 series of universal circuit breakers adopts a three-dimensional layout, assembled from independent components such as the frame, contact system, operating mechanism, and various trip units. Its operating mechanism features an energy storage device, enabling faster contact making and breaking speeds, thereby improving the product’s breaking capacity. The panel also features a clearly displayed indicator for the circuit breaker’s working position. Auxiliary contacts are also installed on the product for customer selection. The product is available in both manual and electric operation modes. Manual operation allows remote breaking of the circuit breaker through a shunt trip unit. The electric operating mechanism enables remote making and breaking operations of the circuit breaker.
